Governance and Audit Committee
The Governance and Audit Committee is a key component of HSCCA’s corporate governance arrangements providing an important source of assurance about the arrangements for managing risk, maintaining an effective control environment; reporting on financial and other performance.
The Committee is made up of 10 councillors, two from each of the constituent councils except Hampshire County Council who nominate four representatives. In addition an independent person will also be appointed. As far as possible the membership reflects the representation of political parties across all the constituent councils when taken together. There are also substitute members who act in the place of a member at a meeting if they are unable to attend.
